Physiotherapy Services
Physiotherapy services at the McCausland Hospital are well developed and provide comprehensive rehabilitation to both in patients and outpatients. In-patients on physiotherapy programs include those in acute care, chronic care and in the near future, patients admitted to our proposed long term care wing.
The mission of the department is to improve the client's function to the maximum of ability.
The department is staffed by two full-time registered physiotherapists and a full-time physiotherapy assistant.
The department provides enhanced skills in orthopedics, neurology, arthritis, respiratory, and other care. Equipment is up to date. The physiotherapists liaise with rehabilitation staff in other centres throughout Ontario to enhance patient care and provide continuity of care when patients have had to access services outside of our area and return home for their final rehabilitation.
